Very very belated and very early

I FINALLY got to fufill my promise to Yiwen like, today. After almost 3 months of talking bout it, we finally met up (first time after the bbq!) today and had our fantastic food. Haha. Sorries for delaying the meetup!!! HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY <3

Haha, because it was so belated that it's nearing my birthday, we kind of agreed on a weird she-treat-me and I-treat-her deal, and Clement's somewhat weird in the picture, but in the end we just decided to split the bill into 3 parts, lol. Clement got his wish as well this way.

It's my first time stepping into Ding Tai Fung! (not just the Tampines outlet, but everywhere, hahaha). This couple of days have been such trying out food days! Monday was spent exploring Jack's place, which I've not been to also, and today was spent in Ding Tai Fung. Ding Tai Fung has some excellent food. :D I had this:

I don't usually eat fried rice from outside (and Clement knows this very well because everytime he wants to go for zi char, I refuse), but I wasn't particularly craving for noodles today and the fried rice really looked nice, so I just went ahead and ordered it. I certainly did not regret it! Hehe.

We had this on top of our food: Totally fabulous! Yumms.

Everything cleared away in about an hour's time? Lol we even had space for dessert!

It's not a replica of the above 小籠包, this one has yam paste as the filling. SO SWEET!!! Gosh, it's saliva inducing. Truly very full after this.

Just look at it up close, the folds, think of the filling.. OMG.

We left at about 1 plus (we arrived at 11 plus!) and headed for Mac's for some quality mugging. It was sooooo crowded in Mac's which was kind of surprising, seeing that there was no one at that time the previous week. We ordered a hot drink each because the weather was freaking cold and depressing.. And settled at a table.

I love the bestie muahahaha.

Weekly update

Didn't realize it's been a week since I last updated, lol.

Have been.. Quite good for the past week. Staying at home on Monday, only going out for lunch and tuition on Tuesday, and tuition again on wed. Can't remember what I did on Thursday, but I think I didn't go out.. Hahaha.

Friday was THE busy day. Went to this safety course held at Tanjong Pagar, and was kind of outcasted over there.. -.- Haha. I knew my NUS Science jacket might give me away, and it really got me into a conversation with the lecturer, -.- He actually tried to ask me if I knew a certain professor, and then continued to ask which department I was in, luckily I siam-ed fast enough. I was the only idiot typing away like mad during the lecture, while the rest either just stoned or looked through the slides that the lecturer was showing. In the lecture, I saw the difference between someone who often attended lectures (aka me) and others who have been working or are new to Singapore, hmm. Some of them were sleeping away during the videos! Hahaha. Well, I wasn't expecting myself to pass the exam, since I don't really have any pressure to pass it, but since I passed it, here it is:

Totally random, I know, hahahahahahahahaha.

I saw this after I came out of the place.

Kind of missed seeing Boon Lay up there, haha..

Saturday was kind of a bad start to the day. All in a long shot, I was pretty depressed for the whole of that morning. Am hoping such things won't happen again, but then again, I can't be sure.. To the extent of doubting whether I might be able to handle all students in future, despite everything. We'll see how it goes on Thursday then.

Had this Japanese workshop at PA, and after that, meeting to discuss moving house. Which effectively rendered me with a lot of work to be done over the next few weeks, and hence I have to head down to PA on Thursday to start the pile. :s

Went to celebrate grandma's birthday after practice, and of course we all started to stalk Janelle when she arrived, haha I swear we are all totally in love with her =D

Finally ended up back at Pinyan's house.. For mosquitoes to sting. -.- I just suck at driving, especially changing from lane 1 to other lanes.. I really suck!

Sunday: slept. SLEPT.

Monday: Cycled. I think I should do my Jap homework now, haha.

A day back in school

Means a trip to science canteen is definitely in the menu. The Jap stall has changed hands, and I actually prefer the old stall.. Hmm..

Soochin with her neoprint like shot lol.

School no longer feels like home. I kind of became a stranger to it after some time of not going back..Guess this means I've really graduated, haha. It's just a weird feeling..

At night, we went for some R and R, esp when all 3 of us has got nothing on the next morning!

Very very very high, the two of them. LOL.

On saturday night, I came home to find 2 letters for me. Was, for a moment scared that it might be a MOE rejection letter. Opened one up and found, both very positive letters, albeit none from MOE =D

=D =D

Rather nua day

I woke up not too late this morning, and immediately went to my fridge to take out stuff to thaw. After that, it was a rather rushed one hour of preparing and cooking esp when I received a msg at 10 that said: Fyi, I'm at aljunied alr.. blah blah.

Which meant effectively I only had around less than 45 minutes to prepare everything, and I haven't done anything at that time!

Miss Low arrived slightly after 11, in which fortunately, I've gotten everything done by that point of time.

THE lunch. Sidenote: Shaun complaining over the laptop, that he wants to meet us for lunch. Lols! I kind of got him mighty depressed what with good food and mahjong, haha. But I just couldn't resist it. Sorry!

It was really too much food, so we got another person over to help us finish them.

The last person to finish eating, naturally had to do the dishes :D

Went to TM to sit down and mug abit for Jap after that, and headed off to tuition at 5 while Junhong joined them to cont slacking. There was nothing much to teach Shermaine, so I gave her some questions and concentrated fully on playing with August!

What a cute dog =D Sleeping under air con, all wrapped up no less. Lucky!

Damn suay day

I managed to iron a hole in that damned shirt. I don't know how, I've nv tried it before, but I did it today. Somehow that means I spoiled the iron as well.. Since the fabric is like, super stuck to the iron.. So I was left with NO long sleeved shirt, and had to dig out my super old blue 3/4 sleeved one. As if disaster can't be alone, the button on my pants dropped. The great news is, the button is not those kind that you can sew back on, it has this plastic thingy which completely broke. So I had to find some other button that doesn't look too off and sew that damned thing on.

Then I met ze at the bus stop, and we went for lunch. Somehow, the pasta managed to get onto my shirt. And I haven't been spilling stuff on my shirt FOR SO FREAKING LONG! Made a mess outta myself.

Then the interview questions were totally unexpected, not like what others tell me at all. So I was totally stunned by the questions, and answers kept repeating, and... Simon actually asked ze why he thinks they need more MEN. =.=

I guess you got the idea. :(

Pisces (astrology) - Piscean and proud of it!

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Pisces is the twelfth astrological sign in the Zodiac, which originates from the Pisces constellation. In western astrology this sign is no longer aligned with the constellation because of the precession of the equinoxes. Pisces is represented by a pair of fish that are swimming in opposite directions, but remain held together at the mouth by a cord. In astrology, Pisces is considered a water sign, and is one of four mutable signs.[1] Like the rest of the watery signs, Pisces is considered a "negative", feminine sign, which in Astrology means it is rather introvert. Being the twelfth sign, Pisces is associated with the astrological 12th house.

Pisces has been traditionally ruled by the planet Jupiter, but since its discovery, Neptune has been considered a modern ruler of this sign. Some astrologers mostly use one to the exception of the other, but some consider them to be co-rulers of this sign and essentially use both (see Domicile).

Individuals born when the Sun was in this sign are considered Pisces individuals. Under the tropical zodiac, the Sun is in Pisces roughly from February 19 to March 20,[2] and under the sidereal zodiac, it is currently there roughly from March 15 to April 13.

Mythology

One of the most popular stories regarding the mythological origin of Pisces is the story of Aphrodite and Eros. The story involves Aphrodite and her son Eros escaping from the terrible monster Typhon by turning themselves into fish and hiding underwater until it was safe to come back to the surface. As fish, they tied their tails together with a cord so that they wouldn't lose one another while swimming in the darkness of the deep water. Upon hearing their tale, Zeus rewarded the pair by placing them among the stars as the constellation of Pisces. [3]

As a constellation, Pisces has been almost universally associated with female deities.

Associated traits

Astrologers assign personality traits to the signs. The following are traits more widely associated with Pisces. Note that no scientific research thus far has been able to prove such correlation. Many astrologers consider planetary aspects to hold a key influence[4] which may override sign location and thus conceding some exceptions.

  • malleable / impressionable [5]
  • good natured / easygoing [5]
  • compassionate / sympathetic [5][6]
  • instinctive / intuitive [5]
  • imaginative / artistically able [5][6]
  • gullible / naive / easily led [5]
Attribute
Likes Feeling appreciated, feeling loved, freedom, stability, mystical settings/enchantment, dreaming, having their input valued, being unique
Dislikes Feeling vulnerable, having no goals to move toward, feeling invalidated, being criticized, illiteracy, noisy scenes and displays, having no sense of structure
Ideal careers caring for the needy as in the fields of medicine or veterinary medicine [5] • anything related to the sea [5] • acting [5] • psychics or mystics [5] • religion [5] • cooking [5]

Compatibilities

Pisces is widely considered to be naturally compatible with the same element signs, Cancer [7] and Scorpio. [7] Many consider it to also be good with Taurus.[8][9]

There are many variables that determine compatibility in astrology, such as birth dates, birth months, birth years, position of a sign within the Sun, the Moon, Stars, etc. The signs listed as compatible with Pisces do not reflect an individual profile or individual reading as interpreted within astrology, but rather reflect a general guideline and reference to compatibility as dictated by variables such as Qualities and Elements within the Zodiac. Very true leh. :D

Diary of a Wimpy Kid

I bought this book yesterday!

It looked mighty cute, so I couldn't resist it. At least I didn't get it straight from Times, but instead headed back to Popular for that miserable 10% (but it's still a 2 bucks discount!)

This is how the inside looks like:

Lots of pictures, childish handwriting, simple words. But cute. And fun. I haven't read a book like this in ages. Greg is actually pretty witty. I wonder if I'll be bored by the end of this book though. *shrugs.

So many things, so much time but none done.

There are so many things I can do now, and I have to do.

For example, I really should be starting on my Japanese again after a one week hiatus due to Chingay. Pack up my room properly. I can also start to seriously prepare for my interview on Thursday so I don't screw it up. I could also go out right now and help Andy look for his electronic dictionary instead of going out later. Do the 25 random things on facebook. I can also start to plan for the dinner instead of waiting for other people to finalize stuff. Eat lunch. I can go and photocopy the stuff that I need for Thursday. Bathe. I can go shop for a pair of decent covered heels. So on and so forth.

But I don't feel like doing ANY of those things at the moment. No mood. Just want to sit in front of the computer and watch the 我的億萬麵包 load reallllllyyyyyyyy slowly.. And surf facebook but not doing anything. Check for new mail every now and then.

Hurray to slacking and zuo bo-ing for the moment. I will start to move.. In half an hour's time. :)

Chingay is over! And..

Very tired to upload photos now, because uploading involves both my phone and camera, and after that there's still facebook, and there's still tagging to be done.. So I'll do them tmr, when I'm abit clearer in the mind. Chingay's finally over!! Wed practices will stop till further notice =D

On the other hand, I finally achieved one of the things I wanted for 2009:

Very tyco-ly, I swear. Tester must have been in an extremely good mood on that day to pass me with 4 demerit points. Haha. Maybe he won alot of money at blackjack. =D

Tired. Need sleep! One whole day of activities tomorrow. :)
